알겠습니다. 저는 원용석의 진실 정치 진행하는 원용석입니다. 중앙일보에서 20년 근무하고 라디오 코리아 보도국장을 하다가 작년부터 독립저널리스트로 활동하고 있는데요. 제가 오늘 전한 길 선생님하고 캘리포니아 주지사 후보로 출마하신 최안 목사님. 간에 그 대화를 동시 통역을 맡게 됐습니다.

오늘 제가 여기 와 있는 곳은 캘리포니아 엘에이입니다. 그리고 엘에이에서 오늘 아주 특별한 분, 금방 잠깐 뵙는 대로요. 최안 최안 우리 한국 이름으로는 안재호 안재호 목사님을 초청하게 되었는데요. 오늘 이분에 대해서는 제가 아는 간단히 소개를 해 드리면 첫 번째, 여러분 트럼프 대통령의 딱 생각나는 사진 하면 뭐가 떠오르죠.

저는 아마 작년 그 대통령 선거 때 핀 그 총알 이거 이거죠. 총 맞을 뻔해서 하늘의 도움으로 참 그 사진 피 흘리는 그 사진이 굉장히 인상적이었고, 두 번째, 제가 인상적인 사진 하면은요. 제가 기억하기로는 트럼프 대통령이 이제 그 대선 기간 동안에 목사님들한테 둘러싸여서 안수 받는 거 그 안수 받는 장면이 굉장히 저는 인식 그 인상이 강하게 남아 있거든요 그래서 기독교인들이 굉장히 트럼프 대통령 많이 지지하고 진실로 트럼프 대통령이. 원래 미국이라는 나라가 기독교 국가에서 세워지지 않습니까? 실제로 대한민국도 그렇습니다. 선교사들에 의해서 복음이 전해지고 그리고 광복된 직후에 제흥 국회가 구성되고 정부 수립될 때 그때 제흥 국회에서도. 초대 대통령 이승만 그리고 임시 의장 이승만도 마찬가지로 재원 국회 때 그때 이윤영 국회의원이 나와서 기도를 하고 시작했다 합니다 그만큼 이제 미국도 마찬가지인데요 그래서 그 목사님들께서.

그 트럼프 대통령한테 안수해 준 장면이 되게 기억이 나는데 바로 그때 참여하신 분입니다. 그래서 오늘 최안 목사님께서는 첫 번째는 바로 그 트럼프 대통령한테 안수해 줄 때 그 함께 했었던 목사님이고 그래서 백악관과도 굉장히 긴밀한 아주 트럼프 대통령한테 신뢰받는 분이고. 두 번째는 바로 캘리포니아 주지사 내년에 있을 캘리포니아 주지사 후보로 공화당 후보로 또 나오신다는 분입니다. 그래서 저도 마찬가지로 오늘 이렇게 훌륭한 분을 특히 캘리포니아 주지사 후보로 나오신 분을 만나게 돼서 영광입니다에 대해서 간단 인사 전해 주십시오.

I’m Che Ahn, and it’s such an honor to be on your podcast. I apologize that I cannot speak Korean. I think that’s my biggest regret in life. But I came at the age of five in 1960. And my father was a pastor, first Korean Southern Baptist pastor in the United States. And that visa opened the door for us to come and become American citizens. First Korean Southern Baptist, not Presbyterian. There was a Presbyterian pastor, a Methodist from Washington, D . C., but no Baptist in all of America. 아 네 훌륭하신 분이네요 No, 300 pastors. There were 15 ,000 people at the rally, but 300 pastors were invited by special email from President Trump to meet with him.

Yes, I do know of him and I just recently talked to him on the phone, but I just got to know him just recently.

모산 대사님이 얼마 전에 한국에 두 분 오셨는데 부정선거 척결에 대한 거 두 번째는 현재 이재명 정권 탄생에 대해서 굉장히 사악한 정권이다 윤석열 대통령이 억울하게 좀 당하고 있다는 것을 말씀하셔가지고 국민들께 많이 공감을 얻고 있다.

You know, Morris is a godly Christian. He’s professor of law at a Christian university, Liberty University. And I thank God for him because he has a lot of courage.

진실을 추구하는 분이죠 굉장히 제가 볼 때 모지타한테서 인터뷰를 두 번이나 세 번 정도 했는데 굉장히 진실된 분입니다. 네 그다음에는 이제 전화기 뉴스와 그다음에 이제 원용석의 진실 정치를 시청하는 분들이 이제 우리 미국 교민들 캘리포니아 이제 교민들이 되게 많거든요 그분들을 위해서 우리 그 최안 최안 목사님께서 어떤 분인지 좀 이제 소개를 해 주셔 달라는.

저는 46년 동안 교수님을 맡고 있습니다.

저는 교수님을 좋아합니다. 제가 하는 일을 좋아합니다. 저는 73 나라에서 국제적인 교회 네트워크를 맡고 있습니다. 저는 세미나리아의 장관입니다.

Dr. Peter Wagner, in 1998, he started a seminary. He was a professor of church growth for 30 years at Fuller Seminary, where I went to school. He was a professor there for 30 years, and that’s where I went to seminary, and I met him there. Yes, and I studied under him. I got my Master of Divinity and my doctorate under Peter Wagner.

훌륭한 목표활동을 해오신 것을 존경하고 아마 시청자분들 중에서는 우리 교민들이 많으니까 어떻게 해서 한국과 연관성 어릴 적에 어떻게 미국에 오게 되었고 부인께서는 또 어느 나라 주시는지 제가 듣기로 필리핀에서 오신 분이라는데 그런 거에 대해서 한국에 어떻게 오셨는지 아직 미국에 언제 미국에 오셨는지?

[SPEAKER_1]
몇 살 때죠? 5살 때 부모님께서는 무슨 일을 하셨습니까? Well, that’s a really good question because my father was a Baptist pastor, but he was also a trained dental technician. He made crowns teeth. And he started his own dental laboratory while he was pastoring. And it was very successful. And then they end up buying a restaurant. And because that was very successful, they end up buying houses. And at one time, they owned four houses in the nation’s capital at the same time. And so they were very wealthy, they were successful, but unfortunately, the way they showed me love by just giving me money, and I used that money to buy drugs, and I became a drug addict. from age 15 to 17, three years. And my parents didn’t know what to do. They just prayed. And I want to encourage the mothers, the Korean mothers, don’t stop praying for your children.

[SPEAKER_1]
Because God heard their prayers, because at the age of 17, I was so depressed, so unhappy. I cried out to God to reveal himself to me, and he revealed himself to me through the person of Jesus Christ. I heard the gospel growing up that Jesus died for my sins, he rose again, there’s a heaven, there’s a hell, and Jesus is the only way to heaven, but I didn’t believe it. When I cried out and he revealed himself to me, I could not stop weeping for three days. And it was really experiencing his love. I felt his presence. I felt the love of Jesus Christ. Make a long story short, two weeks later, I totally gave up drugs. God delivered me from drug addiction in one day. And then he called me to be a pastor. But I was not involved with the Korean church. I was going to an American church so I could study the Bible and learn myself. And that’s where I met my wife. And we got married in 1979, 46 years ago. Now I have four adult children. And they’re all 40 and above. And two of them are ordained pastors as well now.

And I have 10 grandchildren.

그러니까 우리 한국에서도 그렇고, 뭐 대부분의 세계에서도 뭐 어느 나라든지 간에 청소년기는 사춘기라서 다들 이제 방황하는 기가 있었고, 우리 한국 같은 경우는 이제 탈선도 하고 본드 흡입도 하고 뭐 이런 방황하는 경우도 있는데, 목사님께서도 마찬가지로 마약을 통해서 이렇게 방황하다가 하나님의 은혜로 이제 정신 차려 가지고 이제 진정으로 선한 삶 선한 영향력 주는 그런 사람으로 바뀌었다고 이렇게 받아들이겠습니다. 그다음에 궁금한 거는 이제 모키 활동하시다가 이렇게 이제 이번에 캘리포니아 주 진사로 출마하게 된 이유가 있습니까?

That’s a great question. It was not on my, what we call in America, radar. I was not even desiring. There was no ambition to be governor.

[SPEAKER_1]
But on April 28th, God woke me up at 2:22 in the morning, and the presence of God came upon me, and I knew he was calling me to run as governor. Now, I have been walking with Jesus 52 years, so I know the voice of God. I didn’t hear an audible voice. I didn’t even have a dream, but I knew he was calling me. And it so shocked me. I said, God, please, anything but this calling. I don’t want to be governor. But I made a commitment as a follower of Jesus that I’m going to say yes to his will. And so after two hours of wrestling, I said yes to the call.

하나님의 뜻으로 이건 하나님의 사명이다. 내 인생을 걸고 이번에 캘리포니아 주지사가 어떤 정치적인 욕심이 아니라 그러면 캘리포니아 주지사가 된다면 어떤 일을 할 것인지 단순히 캘리포니아 주지사의 자리 목적이 아니라. 무엇을 하기 위한 것이 아니겠는가 해서 당선이 된다면 어떤 것을 하고 싶은지.

I really believe that God has called me to transform California.

[SPEAKER_1]
California has become very much a Marxist, socialist, one-party state. And even though we have two parties, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party, the Republicans are only 25% of Californians. And the Democrats have always been liberal, but they’ve moved from being liberal to being progressive. And they’ve become very, very woke. We call woke very evil policies. 대한민국도 상황이 지금 비슷합니다 and to represent them. But unfortunately, the government is making all the decisions and telling us just to obey. It’s a dictatorship. And that’s what I see in Korea.

바이든 정부 때 지나치게 사회 질서가 다 무너지고 동성애가 팽배해지고 그러다가 트럼프 대통령이 당선되면서 지금 미국이 그나마 질서를 바로 찾아가는 것 같다.

Yes, and that is our great hope. Because President Trump won, it gives us hope for California, that California can also be reformed.

그 현재 우리 사우스 코리아보다 한반도 노스코리아 합쳐가지고 한반도 전체보다 면적은 두 배 인구가 캘리포니아 인구가 거의 삼천구백만 그 한반도 우리나마만큼 많거든요 그러면 당선되면 영향력이 굉장히 클 것 같다.

네 그리고 캘리포니아 주지사가 되면은 미국 전체에 끼치는 영향력도 굉장히 클 것 같습니다.

It would have an impact internationally because California is the fourth richest, if it was a nation, would be the fourth richest nation. It’s the richest nation in the union of the 50 states. We produce 4 . 1 trillion in our GDP.

[SPEAKER_1]
Just look at the IT companies that’s impacting the world. You have Google, Facebook, you have Apple. Right in Silicon Valley, that’s worth $3 trillion a year. That’s just three companies. And then you have Hollywood.

[SPEAKER_1]
And Hollywood is culturally discipling the nations. I know Korea is very influential with K-pop and Korean drama, but Hollywood produces 80% of the world’s pornography right here in California.

[SPEAKER_1]
So we say as California goes, so goes the world. That’s why there’s such a spiritual battle over this state. The devil wants to keep California evil, and God wants California to be righteous.

어떻게 하면 되는지 공약 중에 대표적으로 내세우고 싶은 게 어떤 게 있는지 The most symbolic one is to give parental rights back again and safeguard our children from K to 12, 12th grade. For example, I’m going to stop the transgender indoctrination in elementary school. spend more per student than any other state, $26 ,000 a student, but we ranked.

some stats at 40 out of 50 states or 48 out of 50 states and test scores. We are so rock bottom. We used to be number one, but now we’re bottom. As a Korean American pastor, I’m going to make our school system number one again. The number two thing I’m going to do is that we have such extreme environmental laws. We stop our oil production. We’re not producing any more. Gas prices have gone up. Energy is so expensive now. we pay the highest taxes on gas and electricity. So on day one, I’m going to open up the oil wells again, and I’m going to lower the gas taxes, and I’m going to make gas affordable once again. And the reason why that’s important because this impacts the middle class and the poor in California. Even though we’re the richest state, 30% of Californians are now living in poverty because they can’t afford to live here. The third thing I’m going to do is that because I understand drug addiction and alcoholism, because I was a drug addict, I believe that I’m going to solve the homeless problem by God’s grace.

I’m going to make our cities and our neighborhoods safe again.

트럼프 대통령 표현에 빌리자면 ‘퍼지 숙청당한’ 상태이고, 이재명 좌파 친중 좌파 정권이 현재 집권하고 있는 상황이고, 트럼프 대통령과 충돌하고 있는데, 현재 대표적인 사례가 이제 일주일 전에 있었던 한미 정상회담입니다. 있었는데 그때 대한민국에서는 잘했다 자화자찬을 하고 있는데, 실제로는 관세협상이나 이런 것들이 진전되게 아무것도 없어요. 그래서 굉장히 참패한, 실패한 외교 참사다 이렇게 보는 거거든요. 그거에 대해서 어쨌든 간단하게 한미정상회담에 대해서 어떻게 보시는지 평가 한번 해 주십시오.

Well, it’s a love-hate relationship with the United States. The truth is, we Koreans sell more Hyundai, LG cars, Samsung phones to the United States, whereas hardly any American cars are sold in Korea.

wants the troops to leave South Korea. They want to take over under communism, under Marxism. And Trump knows that. He is a very smart man. He knows that really behind. presently is Communist China and North Korea. And he’s using tariffs to get South Korea, even though they’re Marxists, to cooperate with the international sentiment that this is a democratic republic and don’t mess around with it and we’ll protect Korea. The same thing happened in Brazil. President Bolsonaro, I knew him personally, I met with him twice in Brazil. Marx’s president took over Brazil and arrested Bolsonaro and he’s now in jail. And President Trump, knowing that, he increased the tariff for Brazil to 75%, more than any other nation. And he told the president, if you want me to lower this release, Bolsonaro. I think the same thing is going to happen in Korea.

President Lee will force to release President Yoon. Otherwise, everything’s going to collapse economically. So President Trump is the best friend of Korea, South Korea. We should thank God for him. Thank God that he’s president and not President Biden.

대한민국의 대부분의 국민 많은 국민들은 윤석열 대통령이 명예 회복되기를 바라고 이재명 좌파 정권이 좌파 정권이 쫓겨나오기를 바라고 있다. 이재명 정권이 이재명 정권이 불과 삼 개월 됐는데 벌써부터.

기업 반기업적인 정책으로 경제도 지금 망가지고 있다. 종교도 탄압하고 그리고 사법부도 붕괴시키고 민주주의를 지금 파괴하고 있는 상황이다. 심지어 트럼프 대통령께서도 언급한 것처럼 대한민국에는 지금 교회도 압수수색을 받고 있습니다. 그리고 심지어 교회 목사님께서 목사님께 구속영장까지 청구된 상태입니다. 지금 그래서 대한민국을 위해서 이런 상황에 대해서 어떻게 도울 수가 있는지 여쭙고 싶습니다.

That’s a great question.

I really believe, first of all, it begins with the Christians here in this nation praying for your country. And so I want to invite all the Christian Koreans who are here in the United States, pray for your country. And I want to really encourage the Koreans in Korea, who are Christians, that we need to humble ourselves and repent of our sins first before we ask God to change the government because judgment always begins in the house of God. So the Bible says in 2 Chronicles 7: 14, if my people, the Korean people, 그 다음에 혹시 한국에 와 보신 적이 있습니까?

[SPEAKER_1]
많이 와 봤겠네요 I go because we have around 100, 150 churches that’s part of our network in Korea, and I go visit them. We have a big conference once a year with around 2,000 people. And they will be your prayer support. They will be your friend. They will support you and the conservative movement in Korea.

그러면 대한민국이 제 이의 베네수엘라로 추락할 수 있다는 우려도 지금 많습니다. 좌파 정권이 들어서 가지고 말입니다.

It will go that way unless the church in Korea repents, because they have to repent for not being involved with the government. The false doctrine of separation of church and state, they don’t vote, they’re not involved. Pastors don’t speak out.

저도 동의합니다. 왜냐하면 정교 분리라는 것은 이런 거죠. 우리가 한국이라는 의왕 속에 살고 있는 국민들이잖아요. 한국이라는 의왕 속에 살고 있으면 이 정치의 영향을 다 받기 때문에 관심을 가지지 않을 수가 없습니다.

Well, Jesus said this. He said in Matthew chapter 5, you are the salt of the earth. You’re the light of the world. Salt is to preserve. You know, we salt kimchi. We had kimchi without refrigeration for many years because the salt would preserve the cabbage. And we’re to preserve society. And we are, as Christians, to be involved in society and preserve society and bring heaven down to society. Think of what Jesus, when he told us how to pray, he says, pray this way. Thy kingdom come.

I want to know, the meeting with President Lee and President Trump, do you have any inside information on how that meeting went?

한국에서는 이재명 정권을 좌파 언론에 의해서. 성공적인 정상회담이었다고 말합니다. 하지만 이제 실체를 진실을 알고 있는 국민들 입장에서는.

플랫들이 가서 아침만 하고 왔지. 이 실제로 관세협상이나 경제적으로 얻어온 게 하나도 없지 않느냐라고 생각하는 국민들도 많습니다. 좌파 언론들은 이재명 편을 들어주고. 반면에 진실을 알리는 것은 유튜브들 유튜브들이 진실을 알리고 있습니다. 트럼프 대통령도 비슷하다고 제가 들었습니다.

But even the legacy media, when they speak fake news, what we call fake news or lies, God uses that to expose, again, the evil, woke agenda of the left.

저는 유튜브를 하면서 I am Christian 선언을 했습니다. 그러면 우리 기독교인들에 대해서 부정적으로 생각하는 사람들도 전환기를 통해 참 기독교를 믿는 사람들이 좋은 사람이구나 이렇게 되기를 저는 기도하고 있습니다. 네, 그리고 실제로 유튜브 방송하면서도 성경적인 말씀을 많이 전합니다. 그래서 잘못 알려진 기독교에 대해서 예수님은 참으로 좋은 분이구나. 참으로 세상을 선한 영향을 주는 분이구나에 대해서 알리고 노력하고 있습니다. 심지어 불교를 믿는 분들도 댓글을 통해 보면 전한길이 믿는 예수님 참 좋은 거구나 이렇게 응답하는 분들도 많습니다. 기독교인들 중에서 대다수 보수주의가 많습니다.

Amen. 그런 속에서 북한 정권 공산주의가 무너지고 남북평화통일을 이루어서 북한 지역에 종교의 자유가 없는 북한 지역에도 복음을 전하고 싶습니다. 공산주의 정권 밑에서 지난 80년간 고통받고 있는 북한 동포들이 너무 불쌍합니다. 목사님께서 캘리포니아 주지사 되기를 바라고 또 목사님이시니까 우리 한반도의 평화를 위해서 기도도 많이 해주십시오.

Amen. Not only will I pray, but I will do whatever I can, use my influence to help South Korea be reformed and restored into a democratic republic, right now as a Marxist state. And when I become governor, I’m going to be the best friend with Korea, and I’m going to help Korea experience the freedom that the founding president, Syngman Rhee, who is a Christian, established.

Kamsahamnida. I also commit our intercessors, we have a a real small army of prayer warriors in our church and in our network. And we’re going to pray for the situation in Korea. I’m going to ask them to do that because I’m Korean and I have such a burden and compassion for Korea right now.

캘리포니아 안에도 여전히 민주당 세력이 강하다고 했지만은 현재 트럼프 대통령이 공화당 대통령이니까 공화당이 후보가 캘리포니아 주지사 되는 것이 캘리포니아 전체 발전을 위해서 도움이 될 거라고 봅니다. 공화당 후보가 주지사 되는 것이 캘리포니아 전체 발전에도 도움이 될 거라고 봅니다.

I agree with that, and I really feel that this is what God’s doing globally. He’s bringing about revival and reformation. Sometimes it has to get bad before it gets good. And that’s why Isaiah 60.

So what’s going on in Korea? It’s bad right now, but it’s going to get good. I believe there’ll be a great reversal.

And then ask the Holy Spirit, ask God how you’re to give and support us. But I want to encourage you to tell other Koreans that there’s a Korean running for governor, and he’s a pastor. And I’m not a politician, but I believe that I have God’s heart. I have biblical worldview. I will see things from the lens of the Bible, and I’ll bring righteousness, justice, mercy, and truth to California once again. One of the things that God’s encouraged me is that I have a voice with the people of color. 51% of Californians are people who are minority, and I feel that they’re going to be voting for me, not necessarily another white governor like Newsom is.

And we pray for Korea that your kingdom would come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray for revival and reformation to take place.
